Community Kirtan

“Chanting is like asanas for the mind and the heart.”

~ Krishna Das

Join Sandy King and Lydia Richards for an uplifting evening of mantra, music and heartfelt connection at Udara's Community Kirtan on Saturday, 3 October from 5.00 pm to 6.30 pm. Accompanied by drummer Robb Blackwood, Sandy and Lydia will share a selection of their most cherished yogic mantras, inviting us into the joyful practice of Kirtan.

We will blend our voices in sacred song, chanting the names of the Divine and honouring some of the most revered yogic deities. Through music and mantra, we reconnect with the qualities and gifts they embody – love, wisdom, courage, compassion, and joy to name a few – awakening these same energies that already reside within each of us.

It is a beautiful opportunity to return to the heart, find stillness amidst life's busyness, and share in the uplifting power of community. Come exactly as you are. No previous singing or chanting experience is needed – everyone is welcome.

Chai and sweet treats will also be shared. A percentage of ticket sales will go to Brightside Animal Sanctuary here in Tasmania.
