Udara Movement Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and other applicable laws.

Our privacy policy relates to the personal information we collect about you as our customers, visitors to our websites, apps, social media and members of the public.

We respect your privacy and we endeavour to keep your personal information completely confidential. We would only release personal information if we were required to by law to facilitate court proceedings; enforce or apply our terms and conditions; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Udara Movement Studio, our users, or others.

We collect personal information for the purpose of delivering our products and services, administering memberships and bookings, and communicating with you about our services (including through our website and related systems).

We collect personal information:

From users – when you register an enquiry, join a waitlist, book a class through our online booking form or platform, purchase a membership or pass, attend a class/workshop, complete an intake form/waiver, or contact us.

From suppliers or third parties – when they are engaged to supply services to us, provide information to us or invoice us for the provision of services (and where relevant, when third-party booking/payment/marketing platforms we use process information to deliver their services to us).

From website activity – when we receive enquiries through the website and when the website is otherwise accessed or used (including analytics and cookies as described below).

If you do not provide us with all the information we request, we may not be able to provide some services to you (for example, processing a membership, contacting you about your bookings, or tailoring participation guidance).

The kind of personal information we may collect will depend on who you are (e.g. a customer or supplier) and the nature of your interaction with us, and may include:

  • full name, email address, phone number, address (and date of birth where relevant)

  • class bookings, attendance history, membership type/status, preferences, communications with us, and related notes needed to administer your account

  • invoicing details, payment status, receipts and transaction records

  • we do not store full credit card details (see Security below)

  • injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy-related information, physical limitations, and other details you choose to provide to help us support safer participation

  • emergency contact details (where provided)

  • whether you opt in or opt out of receiving promotions and studio updates

  • IP address, device type, browser type, pages visited, referring website, and similar usage data collected through cookies/analytics

  • incident reports and CCTV footage from outside the studio/and in entry.

 

Udara Movement Studio will seek to take all reasonable steps to keep any information we hold about you secure, accurate and up to date. Your information is stored on secure servers and Udara Movement Studio will take all reasonable steps to ensure that our employees and contractors respect the confidentiality of any personal information held by us. You should notify us immediately if there is any unauthorised use of your account or any other breach of security. However, Udara Movement Studio does not accept responsibility for any consequences of the unauthorised access to your information.

As with most websites, we collect information on web site activity such as the number of users who visit the site, the date and time of visits, the number of pages viewed, from which country and web browser the site has been accessed and the address of any web sites from which this site has been accessed. This information alone does not identify an individual. It simply provides us with statistics that we can use to analyse and improve your experience on our website. We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will be published on our website.

 

Security

Your personal and payment information security is highly important to us at Udara Movement Studio. We take website and credit card security extremely seriously and have in place security measures that provide the highest level of protection available.

All credit card details are encrypted and never made visible.

Our payment gateway (Stripe), uses industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmission to protect all transaction details, ensuring that credit card and customer data is safe.

We do not store your credit card details.

If a data breach occurs involving personal information we hold, we will assess it and (where required) notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) under Australia’s Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is published on our website.
